ABOUT THE ARTIST

Tem "T.S." Larking creates imaginative artwork inspired by the beauty of nature, decorative traditions, and timeless storytelling. Drawing upon influences that range from Art Nouveau and the Golden Age of Illustration to contemporary digital techniques, she blends these inspirations into a style that is distinctly her own.
She creates art for puzzles, diamond paintings, cross stitch, fabric, greeting cards, home décor, and other licensed products, always with the goal of creating images that invite people to pause, smile, and wonder.
Background
She grew up in Southern California and the Southwest; has travelled, and lived overseas for over a decade.
In her professional life she has worked as a game designer, teacher, consultant & manager. She enjoys both working with others and working independently.
She has been an artist since the mid 2000's, working steadily through many life challenges to hone her craft; and studied intensely, guided by excellent teachers.

Artistic Philosophy
Every finished piece begins with timeless artistic principles. Years of studying composition, design, light, color, and traditional media continue to shape her work today, whether painting with watercolor, working digitally, or exploring emerging creative tools.
Technology continues to expand the possibilities available to artists, but never replaces imagination, craftsmanship, or thoughtful design. She enjoys using both traditional and digital media to build upon strong artistic foundations, often combining many hours of sketching, editing, painting, and careful refinement to create richly detailed works that feel both timeless and personal.
She loves reimagining familiar subjects with beauty, symbolism, and color.
A Few Favorite Things
Design and Composition are major passions, along with music, cooking, dance, and books. If she's not working, she's taking care of loved ones (felines included), occasionally creating musical arrangements, or watching a classic film.
She hopes to promote joy, healing, faith, and love for the gift of Creation through her work, her deepest hope as an artist is to share beauty and inspiration with others.
